Cabanatuan represented in NBTC Elite, Offers from La Salle and San Beda.

Cabanatuan is well represented in the latest National Basketball Training Center NBTC Elite 60 camp where national and international coaches conducted a four day in house camp. The representatives are Huxley Peralta a high flyer native of Cabanatuan from Capitan Tinio National High School (played in NSCBC San Ildefonso) and Ken Dela Cruz originated from Talavera but attended camps from Tigers Basketball camp Cabanatuan made Cabanatuan City proud by giving their efforts in the North Luzon tryouts where only three (3) players were selected and 2 from Cabanatuan City and all from proud Tigers Basketball program.

Upon arriving in NBTC Elite 60 camp in Colegio San Agustin Makati the two arrive with a goal. Coach Carlos Fenequito of Tigers Basketball program defined them “Sometimes it takes someone to make somebody, so yung quality ng turo namin sa Cabantuan ay Manila and if hindi man mataas standards. KAYA HINDI NAHIHIRAPAN YUNG MGA BATA SA MGA TRY OUT KASI SANAY SILA SA SYSTEMA NG TAGA MANILA. Kita naman sa resulta nila kaya thankful ako sa parents na pinag katiwala samin un mga bata and eto yun fuel namin kaya whole year program kami sa Cabanatuan. Blessed din na nakasama namin sila Ken and Huxley, magagaling sila kami GUIDANCE at unting paliwanag na lang nakukuhan agad nila. I’m sure malayo mararating nila lalo na sa mga offer na nakukuha nila ngayon. Hope marami pa kami matulungan thru Tigers Basketball camp Cabantuan.” Ken and Huxley go all out showing all that we got game in Cabanatuan. One of the revelations of the camp definitely. Ken Dela Cruz mindset after the camp telling Coach Carlos what’s the most important lesson in his experience. “Coach (Carlos)  gusto po maging mindset tinuro po ni Coach Alex (Coah Alex Compton of Alaska PBA) na maging hardwork and humble gusto ko po talaga ang laro ito e pangarap ko pong makapaglaro sa big league po e Kasama ko po si GOD lagi bawat araw at bawat laro ko po Coach Carlos.”

Offers for two players coming in but before that they received quality training and sports supplies like shoes etc in the camp. De La Salle Zobel and San Beda contacted them to participate in their team workouts and from then on we will just remember Ken and Huxley that how they begin their careers in Tigers Basketball program. “Sana marami pa po matulungan ang Tigers sa Cabanatuan upang maabot ang kanilang pangarap at mabigyan din ng laban.”
